The School is located at Dvergsnestangen, on grounds of Kristiansand Feriesenter. Quiet surroundings with the ocean on three sides. The school has many exciting courses and it offers beautiful apartments, cottages and rooms in the motel with their own private bathrooms - all at the same place. Food is a small chapter to itself, everything is made from scratch, and we believe our meals keeps hotel standards. As a student at Kristiansand Folkehøyskole you can both enjoy to staying by the seaside while still being close to the city.
The school has very good standard on their living units. You can choose between double or single rooms at the dormitory or to share an apartment with other students. Double rooms are in apartments (2 bedrooms per apartment) and they are with normal living and kitchen areas with basic equipment. 5 of the apartments have also a large loft, so those will accomodate 6 students unit. Single rooms are in the motel (with private bathroom) or in motel cabins (2 bedrooms and shared bathroom and livingroom) At the motel, there are 2 shared kitchens you may use if necessary. It is not allowed to put nails in the walls, and there is limited storage. Other then that, there are shared attics where you can keep things in, and one closet per person.
The buildings at Kristiansand Folkehøyskole are owned by Kristiansand Feriesenter (please visit their website for info). Caretaker, property manager and teachers have the right to access the rooms as part of controlling the equipment and overall cleanliness.

You may apply from October 1st 2016, and your application will be processed consecutively.
The first 1st part of processing starts February 1st 2017, this may mean that no one will get confirmed before that. We need evidence when there are conditions requiring special arrangements. Please contact the school if you are unsure.

Kristiansand is a popular town for students with many good facilities for training, activities and outdoor life. The city offers music, theater and concerts. There is a variety of churches and denominations, several educational institutions like the University of Agder, Media Academy Gimlekollen and Ansgar Theological College. All the courses at the school will benefit from the many things Kristiansand has to offer.
